What are some of your favorite staycation ideas in the Kansas City area?
Kaely Holt, Reporter/Managing Editor (Liberty Ward)
Gayle Tobler
Loess Bluff’s Nature Preserve. In winter and spring there are millions of birds!
Ryan Holt (Liberty Ward)
Branson MO is a great place to visit. One of our favorite attractions is Silver Dollar City. There are tons of fun activities, museums, and restaurants. You’re also surrounded by the Ozark mountains.
Sue Schriever (Rush Creek Ward)
Steamboat Arabia in downtown KC. It has a connection to members of the Church.
Mackenzie Riding
The Elms Hotel & Spa in Excelsior Springs. It’s so cozy and they offer 10/10 massages at their spa. They also offer ghost tours since the hotel has a history of “ghost sightings”.
Lori Garcia (Hodge Park Ward)
Did you know you can go up to the observation deck of City Hall for free. It has amazing views! If it is raining or has been raining, though, they will close it, fyi.
