Kansas City Giving Machine Check Presentation
On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the Kansas City Giving Machine held its annual Check Presentation Ceremony at Union Station. During the event, the 2025 Giving Machine charities were awarded oversized checks with the proceeds from the Giving Machine. Organizer Cindy McDavitt received recognition for her years of service. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Giving Machine in Kansas City.
Liberty Youth Give Service in the Garden
On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, the youth from the Liberty Ward joined together to serve those in need by doing yard work.
Celebrating 250 Years with 250 Trucks of Food
On Thursday, April 23, 2026, one of 250 semi-trucks full of food rolled into Harvester’s Food Bank to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. The semi-trucks are sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and are making deliveries all across the country. Along with the delivery, members of the Church in the Greater Kansas City area came together to process food at Harvesters.
Kansas City Regional Single Adult Conference (31+)
April 23-26, 2026, Kansas City Regional Single Adult Conference (31+) was held at the Liberty Missouri Stake Center. Lots of fun and spiritual activities promoted unity.
Hodge Park Primary Serves Smiles by the Slice
On Friday, April 24, 2026, the Hodge Park Primary served up pizza to the Primary children. After their activity got cancelled due to a booking error, the Primary presidency made lemonade out of lemons (or rather pizza) and served smiles up by the slice to their Primary children. They traveled to the kids’ homes and delivered pizza.
“We had such a great time visiting with some of our Primary families tonight,” President Lindsay Nicholas said. “Thank you for letting us spend time with your children each week. It truly means so much to us. We love getting to know them and appreciate the trust you place in us.”
Stake Primary Temple Scavenger Hunt
On Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 2 – 4 pm the Liberty Missouri Stake Primary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosted a scavenger hunt around the temple grounds for the children and their parents. Primary children were encouraged to bring a friend (or two or three).
