A Community Service Fair is planned as part of the National Day of Service from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 12, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1130 N. Clayview Drive, Liberty. The Service Fair is put on by the Liberty Missouri Stake.

“The service fair is a great way to start a tradition of service in your home,” said Jenner Porter, Stake Relief Society President and one of the organizers. “We want people to know that service can be fun. So we’re providing a variety of hands-on service stations to support local charities.”

Service projects for all ages are planned including: Lego sorting, blanket tying, card making and kit building. There will also be a scavenger hunt.

A food and book collection will be taken for non-perishable food and books for children and teens.

“We hope people of all ages will come and see what amazing opportunities there are in our area,” said Porter.
