Ward Young Women's Camp Roundup
Each ward held a summer camp/retreat to unify group

This year in our stake the wards each hosted their own Young Women camp. We couldn’t visit all as a presidency because some wards ventured out far, which we think is GREAT! We asked each ward to share with us a few pictures and write-up.
North Brook Park Ward
Bentonville, AK - May 26-30
From President Valerie Christopher: “Walk With Me was the perfect theme for Girls Camp this year in Bentonville, Arkansas. As we hiked, explored nature, and even soared through the trees on a zipline, we felt the Savior walking beside us every step of the way. Through spiritual
experiences, meaningful conversations, and time spent together, we strengthened our testimonies and formed deeper friendships. We returned home with a greater desire to walk with Jesus Christ and help one another along the covenant path.”
Hodge Park Ward
Bentonville, AK - May 27-30
From President Marissa Sanchez: “At our girls retreat, we had a goal of bringing the girls closer to Heavenly Father and to each other. We had morning devotionals with YW class leaders guiding in the topics and discussions. Our retreat included fun adventures like ziplining, swimming, and crafts, and a special night where we dressed up and went out to dinner together. Our theme, “He Knows Where I Fit,” reminded us that Heavenly Father knows each of us personally and has a place and purpose for every daughter in His plan. As we spent time getting to know each other, building trust, sharing burdens, and choosing unity, we learned that we fit best and can feel most unified when we help each other feel loved, seen, and included.”
Rush Creek Ward
Eureka Springs, AK - May 26 - 30
From President Terri Tervort: “Camp Leatherwood in Eureka Springs was a beautiful camp. Planning fell to our by YCL’s, with Micah Stadler as camp director. Our theme was carried out with an island Moana vibe:

W-Walk with Him
A-At our pace
L-Lifting burdens
K-Know His path
Our YCL’s led Locu’s (devotionals) each morning and evening. Hikes, water fun, bedazzling everything, ziplining, visiting the Bible museum and park, and a Friday night luau made the time so special. Our two Polynesian YCL’s led everyone in making our own hula dances using our own life stories. Each of us danced for the group – it was amazing! Kolby and Livia then each did a beautiful dance from their heritage. What a special experience for all of us!”
Liberty Ward
Indian State Park, NE - June 24 - 27
From Allyson Blanch, Ward Camp Director: “The camp theme was ‘Walk with Me,’ with daily themes of ‘Walk with Others,’ ‘Walk with Yourself,’ and ‘Walk with Christ.’ They enjoyed lots of
activities, including a hike, archery, a ropes course, and a visit to Winter Quarters.”
Doniphan Ward
Table Rock Lake - June 10 - 13
From Nanette Miller, YW First Counselor: “The Doniphan Ward theme for Girls Camp was “Together We Walk with Him,” with a Wizard of Oz tie-in that reminded us that we are all on a journey with the Savior, never walking alone. Our three YCLs each took a night to share a devotional. The first night was focused on Knowledge (Scarecrow), the second night was on Courage (Lion), and the last devotional was on Love (Tin Man). In addition to spiritual growth, the girls had a wonderful time doing crafts, swimming, and trying to beat the bishop playing corn hole. One of the sweetest parts of camp was watching the girls truly bond! Without question, everyone’s favorite activity was our day at Table Rock Lake, where we took a boat out to a cove and played in the water for hours. Girls Camp was a beautiful reminder that as we walk life’s path, we do not walk alone. We have each other, and together with the Savior we can find strength, joy and purpose along the way.”
Shoal Creek Valley Ward
Day Camp at Local Sites - June 22 - 26
From President Sara Vane: “This year’s YW camp worked well as a day camp (7 am-10 pm but until midnight on the last night), since all the participants and leaders except two (who were invited to overnight with us) live within yards of each other in the temple neighborhood. It was a wonderful week of bonding, building lasting friendships, and walking with God by making Him the focus of their activity. Camp kicked off with a service project for Children’s Mercy Hospital, making 75 Happy Kits and delivering them to the dialysis and nephrology clinic in honor of one of their own, Ashlyn Vane, who spent a year on dialysis and had a kidney transplant at CMH. The girls got to meet Ashlyn’s doctors and tour the dialysis unit. They then went on nature hikes (around Watkins Mill Lake and also Lotus Lake at Powell Gardens), boated and swam in a lake near Adam-ondi-Adam, had a “Royal” dinner–think French onion soup, cordon bleu entree, French-cut green beans & macarons w sherbet–and watched the live-action “Cinderella” movie. They enjoyed a slumber party with a fondue snack, and got ready for bed together each night (then walking girls to their own homes and beds). On their last night Bishop Alan Williams led a devotional and testimony meeting on the Malan’s property across the street from the temple. A wonderful and memorable experience all around!
Kellybrook Ward
Omaha, NE - June 17 - 20
From Sandy Gallup (Camp Director): “Our theme was Daughters of the King!! We had a blast! The girls conquered fears, made new friendships, solidified old ones. We focused on understanding what it means to be a “Builder of Faith, a Messenger of Hope and a Gatherer of Light.” Each young woman learned and leaned into their Savior’s love and his grace.”
